Liz goes to Ghana

Let's try this again...

OK, this is taking an eternity. I'll try again later.

These are some village children fetching water from a pond. People here carry everything on their heads- it's amazing. It's not uncommon to see a woman carrying what looks to be about 100 pounds of firewood on her head, with a baby strapped to her back, while pregnant.

Liz!

Happy New Year. I just found your site after Annie mentioned you were blogging at "w-w-w-something like liz goes to africa, i dunno." Amazing I found you (especially since you're half a world away...er, maybe just a quarter?), and I'm so happy to hear you're well and having so many great experiences over there. Everyone is good back here in NYC...except Isabel pulled a groin muscle and apparently can't leave her house...but she's going to be in a McDonald's print ad! I'll make sure to send it to you when it's out.

Best wishes to you and I hope you haven't replaced us, because we'll be waiting for you when you get back.

Love,
Liane
